The Army Physical Fitness test consists of 2 minute timed push-ups, 2 minute timed sit-ups, and a two mile run.
Points are awarded for completed push-ups, sit-ups, and run time - all based on age. A passing score is 180 and the official "max" is 300 (but "unofficially" it is possible to score higher than 300).
A height/weight chart is used to screen for "overweight" participants. A tape measure test is then used to check for "over fatness."
The P.T. Assistant helps score the A.P.F.T. (as well as track and compare results for large groups).
Registration is free (just click on "Register" in the Window that opens and enter your information).
